PM Modi praised the Union Budget 2019-20 and called it as one of hope, which will empower the poor, ensure better future for the youth and guarantee all round progress of middle class. The budget will strengthen enterprises as well as the entrepreneurs, said the PM and added that it will further increase the participation of women in the development of the country.

On his second visit to Varanasi after elections, PM Modi took part in a number of programmes. He launched a tree-plantation drive at Anand Kanan Vatika by planting a tree by placing a Matka. Later in the day, PM Modi visited the virtual museum at Man Mahal, near Dashashwamedh Ghat, which is a cultural landmark in the city of Varanasi.
PM Modi Urges IAS Officers to Bring in a Fresh and Citizen-centric Perspective
Interacting with about 160 young IAS officers of the 2017 batch, PM Modi encouraged the officers to bring in a new vision, new ideas and new approaches to solving problems. The confluence of experience and freshness would be beneficial to the country, he said.
